KP Government Plans To Solarize 9,000 Additional Mosques

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has solarized 6,500 mosques across the province, and work on the conversion of 9,000 more mosques is almost complete.

The provincial government has also established an honorarium for religious scholars who are Muslims and members of minority faiths for the first time in the history of the province. Mahmood Khan, the chief minister of K-P, asserts that his administration has carried out concrete actions for the benefit of the populace in keeping with Imran Khan’s goal of establishing a social welfare state. Mahmood Khan added that the backing of the national economy and the provision of easy access to basic services for the people of K-P has been the ultimate goals of the government’s efforts and battles over the years.

In a statement released today by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, which addressed the reform and transformation agenda of his administration, the chief minister asserted that PTI is now the sole political entity standing up for Pakistanis and defending their rights. This has been demonstrated by the real activities taken by the provincial government over the last four years, which have significantly improved the province’s entire service delivery system.

According to Mahmood Khan, the government has taken several significant steps for the benefit of the public, including the introduction of the Sehat Card Plus, the adoption of a uniform academic curriculum, the renovation, and repair of healthcare facilities, the creation of service delivery centers, the payment of honoraria to clerics and minority religious leaders, the introduction of the Insaf Food Card, changes made to the patwar system, the solarization of mosques, the expansion of the province’s communication infrastructure, and numerous other initiatives.

Despite numerous obstacles, he continued, the current provincial government has gone above and beyond what it could reasonably have done for the general welfare of the populace. According to Mahmood Khan, there has been a significant rise in public confidence in the provincial government’s governance policy. It is important to note that 9.6 million families in the province have access to free treatment options for a variety of disorders through the Sehat Card Plus program, which is an important step toward realizing Imran Khan’s goal of creating a welfare state.

Over 1.4 million people have benefited from free medical care since the Sehat Card initiative’s launch, and to ease the financial strain on patients, pricey procedures like liver and kidney transplants are also covered by the Sehat Card. Additionally, free cochlear implants have been offered, and 127 kids from various regions in the province will benefit from this treatment. On average, Rs1.8 million will be spent on each patient with the aforementioned illness. Service delivery centers and citizen facilitation centers have been built where several services including the issue of fard and domicile have been made online to ensure that civic amenities are provided to citizens at their doorstep.

To ensure that everyone in the province has access to a consistent education, the current provincial administration is also striving to renovate and modernize existing schools in addition to building new ones. The government is also setting up model schools where pupils will receive conventional and religious instruction.
