Engineer Zaheer Baloch, a young man from Balochistan who was reported missing and assumed dead, is still alive, well and conducted a press conference in this regard.
The alleged killing of Baloch has been the subject of constant propaganda. 26-year-old Zaheer Baloch, according to his family, disappeared in October of last year. A first information report (FIR) was also filed in December. He was allegedly murdered by ‘security personnel in the Ziarat operation’, according to a later report.
Zaheer Ahmed Bangulzai, who was one of five men slain in an operation carried out by security forces after an army officer and his cousin from Ziarat were kidnapped and executed, were recognized by their families.
Zaheer, a member of the Bangulzai Baloch tribe, appeared before the media at the home of Sardar Noor Ahmed Bangulzai, a tribal elder and PPP leader. There were also Zaheer’s two brothers, Khursheed Ahmed and Ghulam Haider Bangulzai. Baloch was reported by Express News as saying that he wanted to travel to Europe via Iran. He continued, saying that after entering the Taftan border crossing, he was apprehended by Iranian forces. He was freed a few months later and returned home. Baloch declared that he was not a member of any organizations.

Baloch’s brother claimed that his brother had been kidnapped in the FIR. Baloch’s sister, Uzma Baloch, tweeted on January 23, 2022, stating that her brother had been abducted on October 7, 2021, from a location close to his workplace on Airport Road in Quetta.
Baloch’s mother verified that her son had returned in a different video statement. Zaheer Jan planned to visit Europe. He was taken prisoner by Iranian troops. He was held captive by Iran for nine months, but they have just freed him, she claimed. Her children have absolutely no affiliation with any group.
Concerning the allegations of Baloch’s supposed death, the mother claimed that the body had certain marks on his face and nose, leading her kids to believe he might be their brother.

They carried the body home, planned the funeral, and Fateha was offered, she continued. Baloch stated at the press conference that he wants to dispel misunderstandings surrounding his absence. He did not know what was happening while he was away, he admitted. He further continued that he was a businessman, and he was not connected to any organizations. He was not opposed to any institutions.
