Imran Khan survives assassination attempt, one killed

Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), as well as other PTI leaders, were hurt after a gunman opened fire close to the PTI receiving camp at Allahwala Chowk during the party’s lengthy march on Thursday.

Six people were hurt and one person was killed when unknown assailants opened fire on PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container close to the Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad.

PTI Secretary General Asad Umar said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was hurt in a targeted attack during the long march while speaking exclusively to ARY News. According to Asad Umar, several PTI leaders, including Senator Faisal Javed, Former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Ahmed Chatta, and Umar Dar, were also hurt as a result of gunfire during the PTI long march. Asad Umar added that Imran Khan is being taken to Lahore for medical treatment.

According to sources cited by ARY News, the shooter has been taken into custody. A party employee or official was killed in the incident, while several others were hurt, according to PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan, who was hurt in the assault. He urged everyone to pray for the wounded and everyone’s safety, especially party leader Imran Khan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has requested a report from Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in response to the shooting incident that occurred in Wazirabad close to PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container. Additionally, he gave the interior minister the order to call for a report from the chief secretary and IGP of Punjab. The press conference regarding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent trip to China has been postponed, according to Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, in light of the attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

The firing incident that occurred near PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container in Wazirabad has been noted by Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi, who has asked the provincial IGP to submit a report following a comprehensive inquiry. The chief minister promised that those responsible for the event would soon face justice and that the injured would receive the finest care possible.

From Kot Khizri in Wazirabad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday continued its anti-government “Haqeeqi Azadi March.” Imran Khan, a former prime minister and current head of the PTI, is spearheading the anti-government long march, which began on October 28 at Lahore’s Liberty Chowk. According to PTI, the party leader would spend the seventh day of his lengthy march at Wazirabad. The PTI also included an image of a tweet from party leader Hammad Azhar, who stated that the march will pick up again today at 1 pm from Kot Khizri, Wazirabad.
