Decade-old Beef Comment Prevents Ranbir and Alia from Entering Shrine

Bollywood is still struggling to overcome the widespread boycott culture, and the much-anticipated Brahmastra: Part 1 from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is the most recent example of this problem.

Ayan Mukerji, the film’s director, and the cast have been hard at work promoting the impending release, but not without their share of difficulties. Hindustan Times recently claimed that a protest that broke out around the temple’s grounds prevented the Bollywood celebrity couple from entering. Then, Ayan entered the shrine by himself to seek blessings.

According to the story, Ranbir, Alia, and Ayan all departed from Mumbai on Tuesday to pray at the Mahakaleshwar Temple. The troupe was welcomed by political activists in Ujjain, but they banned the actors from taking part in the aarti (temple prayer). Only Ayan was able to enter the temple and was spotted receiving blessings while protesters allegedly started fighting with police officers to block Alia and Ranbir from entering the building “the newspaper stated.

While promoting his movie Rockstar in 2011, Ranbir stated that he enjoyed eating beef. “Since my family is from Peshawar, they have brought a lot of Peshawari food with them. Mutton, paya, and beef are my favorites. Yes, I love beef,” he had admitted. In advance of the release of Brahmastra, the old video has reappeared. On the other hand, Ujjain CSP Om Prakash Mishra claimed that the demonstrators got into a physical altercation with the police. As some VIPs were set to visit the Mahakaleshwar temple, we were making preparations. During this time some people began assembling here in opposition to them. He told the news agency ANI that one of the protesters got into a physical altercation with police officers.

Ranveer Singh Encounters Legal Troubles Following nude Photoshoot

Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi on Wednesday urged the entertainment industry to speak out against the politics of hate and fear in response to Bajrang Dal members barring the Bollywood couple from entering the iconic Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain. The Rajya Sabha member claimed the “photo op” won’t help if they continue to be “silent bystanders to hate” while showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi an old photograph of some of the top Bollywood actors and filmmakers.

We are quickly headed into a pit of hate, terror, and silence, Chaturvedi warned about the selective protests that occur before every movie release. If you’ll continue to be mute bystanders to hatred and believe it’s none of your business to talk politics, none of this photo op will help. They will still pursue you. The disturbance surrounding the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain is one instance. Unfortunately that political bias is causing such ugly behavior, she tweeted.
