Cristiano Ronaldo To Sign with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia

After the World Cup, star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo plans to sign with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca.

According to the rumor, Ronaldo has decided to sign a contract of €500 million (£432 million) with the Saudi Arabian team. According to the source, Ronaldo has been given a two-and-a-half-year deal worth €200 million (£173 million) per season. Ronaldo is searching for a new team after his contract with Manchester United was terminated last week. The 37-year-old player participated in a contentious interview with Piers Morgan earlier this month, which set off the entire incident.

After giving a contentious interview in which he disparaged the team and the Glazer family and claimed to have “no regard” for manager Erik ten Hag, Ronaldo left the team. Cristiano is a highly smart man, and Morgan remarked, “He understands what he’s doing. Ronaldo’s admission that he had no regard for Erik ten Hag and criticism of the club’s hierarchy for neglecting to upgrade the training facility infuriated United. Ronaldo, whose contract was worth more than £500,000 a week and still had seven months yet to run, was not compensated by United after leaving.

The English Premier League team confirmed on November 22, 2022, that Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Manchester United with immediate effect. A week after Ronaldo gave an emotional TV interview expressing his dissatisfaction with the club, United swiftly acknowledged in a statement that the decision was made by mutual consent. In 346 games during two stints at Old Trafford, he scored 145 goals, and the club issued a statement thanking him for his significant contribution and wishing him and his family the best in the future. The statement from Manchester United reads that everyone at Manchester United remains dedicated to building on the team’s performance under Erik ten Hag and working together to produce success on the field.

Ronaldo stated that the timing of his most recent remarks regarding United wouldn’t interfere with his Portuguese teammates’ focus when they were competing for Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar.

Before the commencement of the World Cup, TalkTV released an interview with Piers Morgan in which Ronaldo discussed how he felt deceived by United and how he had no regard for boss ten Hag. Ronaldo’s time at United has come to a terrible and depressing end with his departure. In the ten Premier League games this season, he only managed one goal.

He has primarily been used as a replacement by Ten Hag, and last month, with minutes left to play against Tottenham Hotspur, he declined to enter the field, choosing to head down the tunnel instead. Ronaldo’s participation in the World Cup is probably his last; after this, it’s uncertain which team will sign him for the second half of the season. When Ronaldo first joined United in 2003, he had already developed from a shrewd, talented winger to one of the best players in the world. He won the first of his five Ballon d’Or honors before signing with Real Madrid in 2009, along with the Champions League, FA Cup, two League Cups, and three Premier League titles.
