The Pakistan Army successfully tested the Shaheen-III surface-to-surface medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) on Saturday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The test flight was “aimed at revalidating several design and technical characteristics of the weapon system,” according to the military’s press office.

The Pakistan Army successfully tested an ‘enhanced-range’ variant of the indigenously developed Babur Cruise Missile 1B last year, according to an ISPR statement.
According to the military’s media wing, Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, Director General of Strategic Plans Division (SPD), praised the scientists and engineers for perfecting cruise missile technology.
He also expressed great confidence in the test’s potential to strengthen Pakistan’s strategic deterrence capability.
According to the ISPR, President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza, and service chiefs complimented the scientists and engineers.
