Shakira’s official 2010 FIFA World Cup song, “Waka Waka,” has been seen over 3 billion times on YouTube.
The hit song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) by Colombian singer Shakira has surpassed the three billion views mark on YouTube.
The song, which was recorded as the official track for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, includes the 43-year-old actor alongside Freshlyground, a South African band.
On Tuesday, the Girl Like Me singer released a brief video clip of the song on her Instagram account, thanking her fans for making it a tremendous smash.
“Wow, that’s incredible!” Waka Waka has recently surpassed 3 billion views on YouTube! Thank you for dancing with me in a video (and song) that has brought me so much joy,” Shakira wrote.
While filming the video for Waka Waka in 2010, Shakira met and fell in love with her partner, Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique. Milan, who is eight years old, and Sasha, who is six years old, are the couple’s two kids.
