1–3 Udinese vs Chelsea highlights: Kante, Sterling, and Mount All Score for a Resounding Victory

With the start of the new Premier League season just over a week away, Thomas Tuchel will be looking for a response from his squad after their most recent meeting resulted in a 4-0 loss at the hands of London rivals. The Blues defeated Club America and lost to Charlotte on penalties before their defeat by Arsenal. They did, however, lose to Arsenal most recently.

Summer enlistments Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly have already made their club debuts during the preseason game. Both of them will eagerly await having a good deal of playing time together so they can get to know their new teammates. Billy Gilmour and Armando Broja have traveled to Germany with the team in an effort to make a good impression on the head coach there. These two players departed the training camp in the United States earlier than the rest of the group.

This will be Tuchel’s most recent chance to evaluate the level of fitness that his players have attained and test out various tactical strategies in proceeding with the upcoming season. Kante scored the game’s first goal since November at the 20-minute mark to get things started. With a powerful left-footed shot from outside the penalty area, the midfielder scored. In the 37th minute, Sterling added a goal that was nearly perfect but had a sloppy finish, making the score 2-0. After receiving a pass from Jorginho with an exquisite first touch, the former Manchester City attacker pretended to shoot in an effort to fool goalkeeper Marco Silvestri. Even so, Silvestri was able to save Sterling’s shot, but the ball only managed to hit the attacker’s knees once before falling into the goal.

Just before halftime, Udinese scored after Edouard Mendy fell short of his lofty expectations. Roberto Pereyra’s long-range drive was spilled by Mendy into Deulofeu’s path, and his follow-up attempt squeaked beneath the clumsy dive of the Blues goalkeeper. In the final seconds of overtime, Mount converted a cross from Callum Hudson-Odoi for Chelsea to reclaim its deserved two-goal advantage. Chelsea will now concentrate on their away Premier League opening against Everton next Saturday.

Northern Italy witnessed the conclusion of the game, and Chelsea easily won, and on Friday night, they won 3-1 to conclude their 2022 preseason on a positive note. For the Blues, goals were scored by Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, and Raheem Sterling, where Gerard Deulofeu, a former Everton player, scored a goal to give the hosts some comfort. With 20 shots to Udinese’s five, the Blues were well worth their victory as they controlled possession. Chelsea’s victory was their first since defeating Club America 2-1 in their first summertime friendly. Following that outcome, there was a 1-1 tie at Charlotte FC, then Arsenal defeated Orlando 4-0.
