On Sunday, April 9th, the National Assembly passed a resolution of no confidence.
The proposal received 174 votes in favour, according to Acting Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and “as a result, the vote of no confidence has approved.”
Following a day of political drama, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet was forced to resign at midnight on Saturday after failing to pass a no-confidence vote presented by the opposition.
The resolution received a total of 174 votes in favour. Pakistan’s parliament has begun voting on a no-confidence motion against Khan, ending a 13-hour standoff over the vote, which he was expected to lose.
