Earlier this year, the tech giant inked an agreement with Lucky Motor Corporation to begin manufacturing phones in the South Asian country.
Let it be known that the decision of the second-largest mobile phone firm to assemble phones in Pakistan depicted the success of the Mobile Device Manufacturing Policy (MDMP) which was launched by incumbent authorities back in June this year.
As per the MDMP, the government aimed at manufacturing 80 percent of mobile phones in Pakistan.
The whole development came as PM, in August 2020, declared that the government vigorously pursuing manufacturing products in Pakistan in a bid to promote export-oriented industrialization.
